Our partner, The New Craftsmen, has curated some of the most talented artists, designers and creators who are dedicated to producing the best of British culture, artefacts and craft methods.

Aimee Betts and Jessica Light

Aimee and Jessica will work alongside other embroidery experts on creating exquisitely precise and decorative embellishments for the bed in Makers House, using the process of passementerie.

The Burberry archivists

The team will journey through pivotal themes from Burberry’s history, including its British military heritage, the dressing of pioneering aviators and polar explorers and its dedication to craftsmanship.

Grant McCaig

Grant McCaig

Silversmith Grant will demonstrate a variety of metalworking techniques, including explaining how small keepsakes can be made using the traditional method of sand casting.

Holly Frean

Holly will be setting up her studio in the tent at Makers House, where visitors will be able to have their portrait painted in miniature. By appointment only; please book your slot at Makers House.

Interiors assemblage artistic duo Hannah Plumb and James Russell will show 'Reading Steps', an installation of unconventional beauty that becomes not a means to go somewhere but a destination in itself.

King's Troop

Three saddlers will showcase a selection of military tack and uniform displays, while demonstrating their craft. Exclusive key rings made by the King's Troop and will be available to personalise and purchase.

Marlène Huissoud

Marlène Huissoud

Using hand-engraving techniques, Marlène will decorate and finish vessels for purchase made with propolis – a resin produced by bees, the aroma of which evokes the smell of polished country house furniture.

Pedro da Costa Felgueiras

Pedro da Costa Felgueiras

Pedro will be demonstrating a mixture of traditional Japanese lacquer techniques including Junkin-Hiramefun, where solid gold wire is finely sliced to create gold-dot adornments.

Pin Drop

Pin Drop

A series of short readings will be performed by actors and actresses curated by Burberry and Pin Drop, focussing on Virginia Woolf’s novel Orlando.

Rachel Scott

Stationed by the bed at Makers House, Rachel will be creating a unique, one-off patchwork cushion cover using materials from the new runway collection.

Rose de Borman

Rose will be demonstrating the art of silk-screen printing. Silk scarves at varying stages of completeness will be on display to show visitors how a finished design is created, layer by layer.

Rosalind Wyatt

Calligrapher Rosalind will be selecting words and phrases from the Pin Drop series of readings and showcasing a variety of calligraphic techniques to create mementoes for visitors to the space.

Royal School of Needlework

Be entranced by the intricate work of the Royal School of Needlework. Focusing on Elizabethan styles of embroidery and in particular ‘blackwork’, they will create pillowcases and cushion covers for the bed.

Shepherds and Bespoke & Bound

Shepherds and Bespoke & Bound

Discover the art of bookbinding: each and every step of the process will be undertaken at Makers House, from stitching and binding to spine finishing, inlaying and debossing.

Thomas Merrett

Thomas Merrett

Working on a single clay sculpture, Thomas will gradually create an artwork depicting the human form, allowing visitors to experience the emergence of a piece of sculptural art from concept to completion.

Tom of Holland

Tom of Holland

Tom will run a drop-in clinic for visitors to bring along loveworn garments in need of repair to be stitched, sewn and patched back to their former glory, using fabrics from the new collection.
