MENSWEAR SHOW – JANUARY 2016
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue. A marriage of styles and seasons. Formal, sport and casual are combined alongside reissue outerwear.
Topcoats, duffles and bomber jackets in double splittable check wool, tweed, and nylon twill, picked out with military details in navy, claret and deep green tones.
A new interpretation of a celebrated British style, in rich, tactile leathers and English-woven House check with a graphic topstitch.
THE MILITARY TOPCOAT
Traditional tailoring and crested shank buttons inspired by military greatcoats. Technical wool is woven to protect against the elements.
THE CHECK TOPCOAT
A long, sartorial silhouette with a double-breasted closure. The distinctive check references early 20th century archive designs.
THE PEA COAT
A classic design in a double splittable wool cashmere-blend. Military buttons and Melton trims accent soft tailoring.
THE BOMBER JACKET
A modern icon inspired by vintage flying jackets. Lightweight technical silk complements knitted trims and gold-tone hardware.
THE DUFFLE COAT
A classic in soft double splittable wool. Royal Navy-inspired toggles and ropes are decorative and functional.
THE TRENCH COAT
A timeless icon updated with an oversize fit. Raglan sleeves and protective cotton twill reference early military designs.
LIVE FOR BURBERRY
British artist Benjamin Clementine returned to perform three songs live on the runway: ‘Condolence’, ‘Nemesis’ and ‘Adios’.
