The Parka

The Burberry gabardine designs worn by pioneering

explorers, such as Sir Ernest Shackleton and Major

Frederick George Jackson, can be considered a

precursor to the modern-day parka. Protective,

lightweight and designed to be worn over layers, it

was the clothing choice for those crossing into the unknown.
